When We Are Home

Racing the animals along the new growth of mesquite across the loose sand as the towering sky drops the sunset behind making long shadows ahead of me.  Finding rocks to collect with color patterns and conglomerations of a long slow history. Each of these days coming home compact together and get silted over by sand and growth waiting to be discovered again by the big eyes of animals.
