The talk of the wind or possible snow was kept from his mouth for spite though it burned on the tongue as a glance toward the sky made him remember why, because that is how he fell in love with her when the barometer took a turn, her hair streaming and the smell of moisture made him leap in love with her but he is mad at her now and nothing up there can be stopped as he wastes this moment to say to her, “Smells like rain.”
